Educated to be trusting? Evidence from Europe

چکیده

Using data from the European Values Study and exploiting compulsory schooling reforms in 13 countries for identification, we find education to enhance generalized trust. We also that this effect partly arises fact people learn form social capital through cooperating interacting with others school.
